The solutions revolution starts this Monday night!

Did you know that West Vancouver has the highest percentage of electric vehicles per capita in all of North America, that BC has more solar potential than renewable energy leader Germany, or that a district energy project in Richmond is creating well over six hundred local jobs?

Want to find out more? Please join us for a Moment of Power climate solutions presentation at Force of Nature this Monday night.

From passive houses and district heat facilities to car-free city planning, climate solutions are being effectively implemented around the planet.  You've probably heard about the incredible transformations that have already been catalyzed by renewable energy leaders like Germany, but have you ever wondered what the solutions revolution will look like right here in the Lower Mainland?

The team at Force of Nature has been talking to climate leaders from across Metro Vancouver, and learning about the creative solutions and uncharted territory being explored all around the region.  The good news is that the opportunities to transition are virtually endless, and well within our reach.  The bad is that while we're definitely seeing progress in some areas, we only need to look outside our windows to know that business as usual remains the dominant paradigm.

There's only one answer to how we bridge that gap, and its the important climate solution of all... People Power!  With that in mind, we've put together a positive and inspiring workshop called "Moment of Power" and we're inviting all of you to come check it out!  Together, we'll share some climate solutions stories from around the Lower Mainland and discuss how we, as communities, can light the way forward at a local level when it comes to meeting our Paris targets.

We'll be hosting weekly presentations so there are lots of opportunities to plug in. Our first Moment of Power workshop will take place this Monday, January 8th at the Force of Nature office.  Please join us from 6:00pm - 7:30pm in room 313 - 207 West Hastings (at the corner of Hastings and Cambie.)  The venue is transit and wheelchair accessible, the bathrooms are single occupancy, and children are welcome.

If you can't make it Monday, there are additional presentations coming up in Burnaby on January 17th, and back in Vancouver on January 25th.  We're also looking for volunteers who want to join our presentation team.  Please click on this link to view our upcoming Moment of Power calendar and register for a presentation that works for you.

Looking forward to changing the world with you, friends!
