Anti-Opression Statament

Force of Nature is committed to anti-oppressive practice in our organizing and our work, and is committed to supporting ongoing efforts of Indigenous solidarity and reconciliation. We strive to acknowledge and incorporate questions of white supremacy and the history of colonialism throughout our work, including when designing our campaigns.

We ask all members of the Force of Nature community to commit to making our spaces safe and welcoming, including at meetings, during shifts, and on our online forum. Sexist, racist, homophobic, ableist, ageist, transphobic or otherwise oppressive language or behaviour will not be tolerated.

We acknowledge that everyone is at a different place in their journey and in understanding these issues, and commit to working with our community to build shared understanding and respect.  If you have questions about specific actions, behaviours, or language and whether or not they are appropriate, please contact your organizer, who will be happy to discuss these issues in depth!

If you prefer to leave feedback anonymously, you may do so using this google form.  We especially encourage you to submit feedback if:

- you have experienced discrimination of any kind within Force of Nature

- you ‎have suggestions for how we can make our spaces more accessible/safe for you or others

- you feel that we are failing to live up to the comittments outlined above
