Car-Free Columbia petition

The City of New-West adopted the IPCC emission reduction targets in March, committing to a 45% reduction of emissions by 2030 and 100% by 2050. We heard from the community that the city needs to prioritize people walking and rolling and demonstrate that a street can be a place for the community, and not just for cars.

Making downtown Columbia Street car free, with exceptions for accessibility and transit, would help limit air pollution and reduce community emissions.
We can create a more lively, sustainable, transit-friendly and people-focused street. A street that makes our community more vibrant and safe to walk around in.

Sign our petition to support Car-free Columbia, say ‘yes’ to climate solutions and make sure the revitalization of downtown New-West continues!
