I’m sure you just heard the good news! Environment Minister George Heyman announced that Kinder Morgan would not get to put shovels into public land until the province has undergone meaningful consultation with First Nations communities along the pipeline route. This is another big roadblock in the way of this destructive pipeline, and one more step towards a sustainable, low carbon future for our province.

We’ve all been in this struggle long enough to know that Kinder Morgan won’t back away so easily from their dirty oil pipeline. We need to keep building up power and resistance from Burnaby Mountain all the way to Edmonton if we want to kill this black snake once and for all. But in the mean time, we should take time to celebrate! Force of Nature members, volunteers, and supporters made this historic day happen by campaigning to stop Kinder Morgan in the provincial election. Together, we made sure that three key swing ridings swung towards a sustainable future for our province.

Congratulations to all of you! You made this possible.  Thank you for your generous support, and on going commitment to a sustainable future for us all.
