Do you care about renewable energy and electric vehicles (EVs)? Right now Port Moody City Council needs the public to give their feedback on a progressive EV charging bylaw amendment which stipulates that after March 1 2019, new residential properties will have to have 100% of parking spaces equipped with level 2 EV charging stations and 20% for commercial spaces.
This is essential in transitioning toward zero emissions in Port Moody, and can domino into the rest of the Tri-Cities! Please come and speak at public discourse if you care about electric vehicle infrastructure and climate change issues! Your voice will help make this Bylaw pass through city council.
Please arrive early enough to be outside the council chambers by 6:30 pm. Speakers will start at 7 pm. If you would like to speak for the Force of Nature Tri-Cities team, please contact Katie to figure out more details!
If you cannot come to this event but want to help support this bylaw, you can write a letter to city staff at [email protected]y.ca. It must be sent in writing before 12 noon on February 12, 2019.
