We are in a make-or-break decade when it comes to climate action, and Vancouver has shown urgent leadership with it’s recent climate emergency declaration and commitment to reduce our emissions by 60% by 2030 and 100% by 2050. This will mean some big changes. A big part of this will be transitioning Vancouver to become truly multi-modal which will involve reshaping road spaces into people places as we prioritize fossil-free commutes.
At Force of Nature we support the visionary Granville Connector project to transition at least two centre lanes of the Granville Bridge into a safe, sustainable public walking and biking pathway for everyone. This will support the growing number of Vancouverites who are choosing to leave their cars behind as we walk, run and roll into our post-carbon future.
