This is it, my friends! We have a priceless opportunity to present our Solarize proposal to the Port Moody City Council, and we need you (and all your friends and neighbours) to show up to show the City Council that people really care about this issue.

We'll be meeting in the foyer (of both the Port Moody Library and the City Council rooms) at 5:30 pm SHARP so that we can quickly check in and make sure everyone is on the same page before the Council Meeting at 6 pm. I will be presenting a five minute summary of the Solarize proposal, but there is a public input period at the beginning and the end of the meeting where anyone can speak for up to 2 minutes - consider telling a story about your own experience with considering solar power for your home, speaking to why you think it is important for our society to move towards renewable energy, or presenting some hard-hitting numbers about solar power in BC! I've set up a sign-up form to help us keep track of who is planning to speak and on what, here.

Please note that we will not have final confirmation of our presentation until Tuesday the 14th, so keep an eye on this event in case we are moved! I'll be creating posters, flyers, and a Facebook event - come to the Team Meeting on February 16th (5-6 pm at Cameron Recreation Centre) to pick some up and distribute them in your neighbourhood, or let me know where/when you might be able to pick some up from me.

We'll also be doing a phonebank on the evening of February 15th to call our supporters in Port Moody and invite them to join us for this event, from 5:30-8:30 pm. Sign up for that here.
