The defining moment in PoCo was when we showed up to Council with close to 50 residents, and endorsement letters from 17 local businesses asking them to adopt the IPCC climate targets. Our speaker went forward and at the end of their speech they asked everyone in the room to stand in support of Council adopting the climate targets. It felt so powerful to demonstrate that the community had come together to support bold climate action. Next, Council publicly committed to update their emission reduction targets in March 2020!
